PSHE and RSE
Our PSHE curriculum teaches PSHE that is relevant to the age and stage of the pupils. It aims to be relevant to their life whilst they are with us in school but also to prepare them for their adult life beyond education. The curriculum is broad and balanced and reflects the need to provide them with a diverse curriculum which introduces them to aspects of life which are not well represented in the area of Norfolk that most of our pupils live in. It aims to put the knowledge taught into context through role play of situations. We follow the Twinkl PSHE curriculum. We have organised units to give a balance in each year of topics relating to relationships , the world, diversity, citizenship and all about me to enable each year to provide a balanced curriculum to our pupils.
We follow the statutory guidance for the new RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education) curriculum. This teaches our children to develop their self-esteem. In our schools, we want children to develop their full potential, physically, socially and mentally. We aim to teach children to develop positive attitudes towards their health and respect towards other individuals and groups. The curriculum provides knowledge and the appropriate skills and attitudes to use this knowledge throughout your child's life.
